The Surrealism Soirée

New Delhi, India — November 2025

Recently, TSB Overseas, in association with Scabal, hosted ‘The Surrealism Soirée’, the first-ever India showcase of Salvador Dalí’s 1971 paintings—commissioned by the luxury fabric house as a surreal vision of men’s fashion in the year 2000—at the residence of H.E. Didier Vanderhasselt, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in New Delhi. Guests were invited into an immersive, gallery-style experience, featuring 12 original Dalí artworks alongside Scabal’s Vision Collection fabrics.

The event also featured a curated panel discussion on art, fashion, royalty, and luxury, organised by Robb Report India and moderated by Vijendra Bhardwaj. The conversation included some of India’s most influential figures in art and design: Priyadarshini Raje Scindia of the Gwalior royal family; Sana Rezwan, founding chairperson of Public Arts Trust of India and executive director of Prestige Group (North India); Gregor Thissen, executive chairman of Scabal; designer David Abraham of Abraham & Thakore; and photographer Tarun Khiwal.

The evening concluded with a distinguished fashion showcase, highlighting menswear ensembles from renowned designers Diwan Saheb, PN Rao, Jade Blue, and The Darzi Group, all realised in Scabal’s Vision Collection fabrics. Designer Dhruv Kapoor offered a distinctive interpretation, presenting a tailored womenswear suit that added an innovative dimension to the showcase.
